Monthly membership is $7.49 per month. Annual membership is $71.49 per year, which works out to about $5.95 per month -- roughly twenty percent off the monthly rate. Both renew automatically until you cancel.

Yes. Forty-seven recipes -- close to half the library -- are always free to read in full, no account required. The free pool covers every cuisine and is a fair sample of how we write and test.

Sign in, open My account, and click Manage plan. Cancel anytime in one click. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period, then stops automatically. No phone call required.

Every recipe is cooked at least twice in our test kitchen before publishing -- once by the developer, once by a second cook with no prior knowledge of the recipe. We track timing, equipment, and oven variance, then rewrite anything that surprised either of us.

Yes. Every recipe is tagged for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free where applicable. You can filter the full library by any combination from the recipes page.

Every recipe is rated Easy, Medium, or Project. About a third of the library is Easy and assumes no prior technique. The journal also has beginner-focused essays on knife skills, pantry building, and basic technique that pair well with the easier recipes.

We currently ship anywhere in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Most orders go out within two business days; ground shipping arrives in three to seven business days depending on your zip code. International shipping is on our roadmap.

Standard ground shipping is a flat $7.95 within the contiguous US. Orders over $99 ship free. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are calculated at checkout based on weight.

Unused items in original packaging can be returned within thirty days of delivery for a full refund minus return shipping. Items showing kitchen use cannot be returned. Full details live on our refund policy.

Not yet. The site is fully responsive and works well on a phone in the kitchen -- including a hands-free cook mode that keeps your screen awake. A native iOS app is in early development for late 2026.

Members can save recipes to a personal cookbook from any recipe page. Every recipe also has a clean print view that strips ads, the header image, and side notes -- just ingredients, method, and serving size.

Our store is intentionally small -- under twenty items. We only stock tools we use in our own test kitchen, and we only add a new item when one of the team has been cooking with it for at least six months. If we will not reach for it on a Tuesday night, we will not sell it.

Gift memberships are coming in Q3 2026. In the meantime, if you would like to gift a membership today, email us and we will set one up manually under the recipient's name.

We sell nothing about you to anyone, ever. We use a small set of analytics tools to understand which recipes are read and we run advertising through Microsoft Advertising and Google Ads. Full details, including opt-out instructions, live in our privacy policy.
