30-day money-back guarantee
Every membership and every kitchen-store order from Shake Stir Strain Recipes is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are unhappy for any reason within 30 days, email info@shakestirstrainbow.com and we will make it right.
1. Membership refunds
If you decide your Shake Stir Strain membership is not for you, contact us within 30 days of your first paid charge for a full refund. There is no form to fill out, no exit interview, and no fine print. We will refund the full amount to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Your access to paid features will end at the time of refund.
After the 30-day window:
- Monthly plans: You can cancel at any time from My account. You will not be charged at your next renewal, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate partial months.
- Annual plans: You can cancel auto-renewal at any time. After the initial 30-day window we do not refund partial years, but your access continues until the end of your prepaid year.
To request a membership refund, email info@shakestirstrainbow.com with the subject "Membership Refund" and the email address on your account.
2. Product returns from the kitchen store
Unused items in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. We will refund the purchase price minus the original outbound shipping cost, less any return shipping you choose to use. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of our receiving and inspecting the return.
2.1 Condition
Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, with all tags, manuals, and accessories. Items showing kitchen use (food residue, scratches from cooking, broken-in seasoning on cast iron) cannot be refunded.
2.2 Perishables
Perishable goods -- including spice blends, oils, and any food products -- are not returnable for food-safety reasons. If a perishable arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, email us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it at no charge or issue a full refund.
2.3 Damaged or defective items
If an item arrives broken, defective, or different from what you ordered, email info@shakestirstrainbow.com within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will send a replacement at no cost to you or, if you prefer, refund the item in full including original shipping.
3. How to request a refund
- Email info@shakestirstrainbow.com with your order number (8 characters, shown in your account) and a brief reason.
- We respond within one business day with return instructions or refund confirmation.
- For product returns, ship the item back using the carrier of your choice. We recommend tracking; we are not responsible for items lost in return transit.
- Once we receive and inspect the item, your refund is issued within 5 to 10 business days. Bank processing can add an additional 3 to 5 business days before the refund appears on your statement.
4. Exceptions -- what we cannot refund
- Digital downloads (PDF cookbooks, printable recipe cards) are non-refundable once delivered.
- Gift cards and gift memberships are non-refundable, although unused gift cards never expire.
- Final-sale items clearly marked as such on the product page (typically end-of-line cookware sold at a steep discount) are not eligible for return.
- Items returned after the 30-day window may, at our discretion, be accepted for store credit only.
5. Chargebacks
Before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please email us first. Almost every billing question can be resolved within one business day. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being closed.
