Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a heavy Dutch oven and bring to a simmer.

  2. Cover and cook in a 325 F oven for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

  3. Uncover and roast until the liquid evaporates and the pork crisps in its own fat.

  4. Shred and squeeze over the cooked orange halves before serving.
