Clafoutis aux Cerises
A rustic cherry custard baked until just set, dusted with powdered sugar and served warm.

Method
Butter and sugar a 9-inch baking dish; spread cherries in the bottom.
Whisk eggs, sugar, flour, milk, cream and vanilla into a smooth batter.
Pour over the cherries and bake at 375 F for 35 minutes.
Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
