Method

  1. Butter and sugar a 9-inch baking dish; spread cherries in the bottom.

  2. Whisk eggs, sugar, flour, milk, cream and vanilla into a smooth batter.

  3. Pour over the cherries and bake at 375 F for 35 minutes.

  4. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
